Industry is a big word. It links to all the machines that we make, and the mass production as a result. With industry we have changed our own lives, and the world around us. When standing in front of a quarried mountain, I am equally impressed by both our ability to transform it, and the sheer size of the mountain itself. Industry is a complex phenomena, it not only creates products or destroys the nature, it also provides jobs and hopes. I have travelled to Tibet, where industry still does not exist. I have also lived in China, where industry is booming and changing everything. I now live in the UK, where the peak of their manufacturing days is over. It is interesting to see how these different stages can co-exist. And it is interesting to ask if one can be the future or the past of another. I try to look for answers at places where industry has happened, these landscapes are my observations.
